The 2009 24 Hours of Moab

Big race coming up on Oct 10th – Oct 11th. 24 hours of pain. The team song for this race is by my buddy, my hero, Rob Zombie. Someday I will have a bitchin’ look, just like Mr. Zombie. Check out the YouTube video. Never Gonna Stop And if this doesn’t work for you, check… Read More The 2009 24 Hours of Moab

Black Bear Pass – The Notorious

Holy Moses! I finally made the trip over Black Bear Pass, but on my single speed. It was wicked, wicked fun. Next time I will follow Padre – who will go over in a Jeep-Jeep. More details later. Check out the pics, if you want. The Proof of The Gnarly, The TONAR!

UFO Chasing by Night, Mountain Biking by Day

So, the week after Labor Day was one to remember. It was filled with late night UFO chasing and late afternoon mountain biking. Why would one chase UFOs late at night? Why not? Why would one mountain bike during the late afternoon? Because one must rest after the crazy night of chasing UFOs. The UFO… Read More UFO Chasing by Night, Mountain Biking by Day

Have Faith? Judd Does – The Faith Fork

Tedd and I headed up to Colorado to do some camping, mounting biking, and UFO watching. We camped in Frisco on Friday and Saturday, sweet campground – aside from all the dead trees. Of course we had to belly up to the bar at the Backcountry Brewery AND we left the joint with a PIG… Read More Have Faith? Judd Does – The Faith Fork

Single Speed World Championships 09′ (SSWC09) – In or Out?

My entry, #2. The beautiful nieces, Avery & Paige, did all the hard work for me. The race is Sept 19th in my hometown of Durango CO. If I’m in, I’ll make one hell of a killer trip out of it. More to come.

Crazy 88, Flagstaff Arizona

The race was awesome. The 84 mile track included over 50 miles of single track. Amazing trails and amazing scenery. My fitness level is to the point where I can ride hard for long miles, not just survive. So I felt good. But there was a small accident at mile 75. I’ll spare you with… Read More Crazy 88, Flagstaff Arizona

Black Sheep Fix It Trip #2

I spent a awesome weekend driving to Fort Collins CO and then over to Breckenridge CO. Doesn’t take much for me to get in the car and go for a ride, assuming there is a mountain bike trail at the end of the road. Saturday, August 1st: The fix on the Black Sheep is in… Read More Black Sheep Fix It Trip #2

Breckenridge 68

Well, since I am not tough enough to race the Breckenridge 100, I opted for the Breckenridge 68. 68 was good enough for me, this year, considering I only made it 52. I was an idiot. I started the race with a rear tire that had 30% left on its riding life. (Ok, that is… Read More Breckenridge 68

Firecracker 50

July 4th. This was one awesome race. The race started in the center of town. Actually the race kicked off the Breckenridge 4th of July parade. All the kids were out high five-ing us racers. It was fun. The course was challenging, mainly due to the elevation. The course peaked out at 11,300 feet above… Read More Firecracker 50
